Borrowed quotes and unfinished thoughts, told the same way the weekends are — a picture, a few lines, and nothing more.

you don't seem that stupid to fall in love

There is no sense in living fully protected with no risks. If we are really brave enough to be ready for the immense pain that heartbreak could bring, we can love someone completely without any guards. Being willing to risk something we cannot guarantee is not stupidity; it’s life itself. The only lesson we have to keep in mind is to take care of what we can control and let go of what we cannot.

a need to rotate the lens to the left

In the middle of the forest, if you could look back or zoom out yourself and see from an eagle's eye, you could see the city that lies behind the mountain, the hundreds of similar mountains with stories similar to yours. The art of seeing yourself from that eagle's eye shows you your location.

A theory behind feeling self-worthlessness

One of the impacts that doomscrolling has created is the feeling of inadequacy. The constant shifting of focus to different people doing something in their lives creates the emotional experience of self-worthlessness in the person who watches it. This happens more often to adults who are on their twenties.

Maybe Higgins observed it better. His theory of self-discrepancy says that the feeling of worthlessness arises from the gaps between different versions of the self. When a person feels that he is not the person he thinks he should be, the feeling of self-worthlessness kicks in. He introduced three major self-representations: the actual self, the ideal self, and the ought self. Who he believes he is, who he ideally believes he would like to be, and who he believes he should be.

As a remedy, by increasing the actual self instead of constantly attacking it and questioning the ought self, it might help a person get rid of this negative feeling. Put your phone down and go get some fresh air.

You Give It and You Get More of It

Have you ever been to a temple where people are helping needy people? Imagine you are one of them who is receiving something. If you have food fully covering your plate, people won't give you more food. When you start to make space on the plate, they serve you again.
We are the people in need, and God is serving us. To get more ideas, we have to act on the ideas we already have. To get more strength, we have to use the strength we already have. This is how we increase our capacity to hold more energy. If you learn to create space by spending what you already have without fear, the higher energy will refill your cup.

use narrative therapy

Use Narrative Therapy

We are on the same planet but not in the same world. The world you see here is the subjective side of you. It might appear distinct to each of us. The world for me and you is made of stories that we are constantly telling our brain, our active listener. You are more of a narrator and an influential author of those stories. Narrative therapy describes that we are the authors of our own stories. It is through our perception of situations that our stories have been written. If we could change how we see and act in certain circumstances, a new story could be narrated. I need to move away from my desk to buy myself a new pencil. Bye.

Fish fish

The question I used to ask was: should I plan everything now and work on that plan, or should I flow freely like a fish? Am I the dead one? They say only the dead ones go with the flow. Is this statement a way of living, of surviving a situation, or of escaping from reality? I have thought about it for so long. What should I plan? What cannot be planned? When should I flow? How do I find a perfect flow? Should I flow with the flood as well? Why cannot I stand still?
